Brighton Free Computer Repair Workshops

Brighton Council has set up a new project called the Tech Takeback. It's an initiative to help save over 30 tonnes of old electrical items from landfill. You've probably seen a store on North Street, Brighton towards Kemptown, selling old electrical items. These items have been rescued and donated by the public and repaired through a series of free repair workshops.

This is an amazing scheme that not only stops electronic waste from going to landfill. It provides the public with life skills through education via its free training courses.

As a consumer-based society, we yearn for the next high-tech gadget, the latest smartphone and let's be honest, do we really need them?
The Gadget Show recently showcased the latest "Soup Makers" Really?
Whatever happened to a saucepan and hand blender? But, I digress.

These gadgets soon find themselves at the back of cupboards. Laptops and phones are thrown in draws because the charging socket has broken and they don't turn on anymore. Not only do all these electronics contain precious metals, but they're also in decline.

If you're looking for IT Support in Brighton, why not join one of these free computer repair courses and learn the basics of electronics repair?
