The Component

It can be installed easily via joomla admin panel.

It is a native 1.5.x component and can be installed on any joomla 1.5.x system.

After installing goto

Components->B2EBlogs->Configuration

to install mysql server details, b2evolution database name and table prefix.

MySql Database Password
MySql Database Name
b2e table prefix
----------------------------

All the five config variables must be provided correctly to let the component work properly.




The Module

It can be installed easily via joomla admin panel.

It is a native 1.5.x component and can be installed on any joomla 1.5.x system.

After installing goto

Extensions->Module Manager->Blogs

Set 'Enabled' to yes.

Set the position accordingly to place the module where you want.

Click Save.

The module should appear on the frontend.

Where can I find the exact info needed to fill out the configuration information? Is this accessible through the cPanel or on my server somewhere?

If you already have b2evolution installed and working, you need to find the details somehow.

mySQL host will be: localhost
Infact, all of the settings can be found from the b2evolution configuration file. If you FTP to your b2evolution folder , you can view the config file. It may be called something different depending which version of b2evo you're using but try /b2evolution folder/conf/_basic_config.php
